SDSU beats Nevada 31-14 for perfect Mountain West season

SAN DIEGO (AP) — Donnel Pumphrey and Chase Price surpassed 100 yards rushing on Saturday night, and San Diego State completed an undefeated conference season with a 31-14 win over Nevada.

The Aztecs (9-3, 8-0) became the 10th team in Mountain West Conference history and the first since 2011 to go undefeated in league play. They face Air Force in the conference championship next Saturday.

Pumphrey burst through the middle for a 72-yard run that gave San Diego State the lead for good at 21-14 with 1:21 left in the second quarter. He opened the scoring with a 1-yard run in the first quarter and finished with 154 yards on 23 carries.

Donny Hageman added a 29-yard field goal in the third quarter and Price capped the scoring with a 2-yard run in the fourth. Price had 112 yards on 19 carries.

Jerico Richardson led The Wolf Pack with six catches for 106 yards.
