Wyoming holds off CS Bakersfield 68-64

LARAMIE, Wyo. (AP) — Josh Adams scored 23 points, Jonathan Barnes had a go-ahead dunk with 13 seconds left, and Wyoming held off a second-half rally to beat CS Bakersfield 68-64 on Wednesday night.

The Roadrunners trailed by as many as 13, but twice pulled within a point, then tied it at 64 with 33 seconds left on Damiyne Durham's 3-pointer. Barnes dunked on the next possession and Jason McManamen iced it with two free throws.

McManamen recorded career-highs with 18 points and four 3-pointers and Alan Herndon scored a career-high 16 points on 7-of-8 shooting. Wyoming (3-2) made 21 of 22 free throws and 9 of 22 3-pointers.

Adams hit two 3-pointers and the Cowboys took a 10-7 lead. The Roadrunners led by three twice, but the Cowboys finished with a 10-2 run and were up 27-22 at halftime.

Kevin Mays led CS Bakersfield (3-1) with 17 points, Aly Ahmed scored 12, and Durham 10 with three 3s.
