CAMBRIDGE, Mass. (AP) — Tommy McCarthy scored 16 points and had eight assists to lead Harvard to an 80-45 victory over Bryant on Wednesday night.
Zena Edosomwan had 14 points on 7-for-9 shooting for Harvard (2-3). Evan Cummins added 10 points and six rebounds for the Crimson, who shot 55 percent (28 for 51) from the floor, and 50 percent (10-20) from 3-point range.
Harvard posted a 7-0 lead and never trailed.
Edosomwan's dunk off a McCarthy assist made it 35-19 with five minutes left in the first half. McCarthy hit two free throws and a 3-pointer to make it 40-19.
The Crimson started the second half with an 18-7 run punctuated by back-to-back dunks by Chris Egi to stretch the lead to 59-30.
Hunter Ware, Marcel Pettway and Bosko Kostur each had 10 points to lead Bryant (2-3). Pettway had eight rebounds, four of which came on the offensive end.
