Just one day after agreeing to a contract buyout with the Sacramento Kings, former BYU All-American Jimmer Fredette is reportedly ready to sign with another NBA team.

USA Today NBA writer Sam Amick reported Friday night that Fredette has informed the Chicago Bulls that he will sign with them once he clears waivers, which should happen on Saturday at 5:00 p.m. ET.

Because Fredette’s buyout was completed prior to the leagues waiver deadline of Saturday at midnight, Jimmer is eligible to play in the playoffs should the Bulls advance to the postseason. Chicago is currently fourth in the Eastern Conference standings.

With Bulls All-Star guard Derrick Rose out for the season due to injury, Fredette would join a team with Kirk Hinrich, DJ Augustin, Jimmy Butler and Tony Snell at the guard position. With a field goal percentage of 48 percent, and a three point shooting percentage of 49 percent, Fredette would be the Bulls' best shooter at the guard position, statistically.
