PROVO, Utah — Who can forget that all time ending to the 2007 Fiesta Bowl? Boise State using every trick in their playbook to take mighty Oklahoma down in overtime. Course that crazy dramatic final 2 pt conversion play topped (if possible) by Broncos running back Ian Johnson's ‘once in a lifetime' proposal to the Boise State Cheerleaders captain, right after he scored the winning pts?

Saturday at an event not nearly as nationally publicized and nor as overhyped, BYU Freshman Luke Mocke did about the same thing. This most special moment maybe in BYU Rugby history happened right after freshman Jonny Linehan stun everyone by drop-kicking the game-winning points through the uprights to beat Cal for the Rugby National Championship. There was the expected ‘doggie-pile' of Cougars celebrating but after being a part of that Luke Mocke carried out the most romantic proposal in BYU sports history.

Peeling out of the pile, the South African ran over to his bag, pulled out a small box, ran back across the field, found his girlfriend Anna Hubert and dropped to one knee and popped the question. "I had no idea it was coming" said Hubert. "He said he'd do it a more traditional, private spot but I'm so excited that he decided to do it then and there. It was the best day of my life."

Anna says what really made it extra special was that Luke's parents in South Africa were watching the live feed of the game and watched their son propose.

How do they top that day? Well Luke's only a freshman, so we'll see.
