ANN ARBOR, Mich. (AP) — Michigan linebacker Josh Uche recalls being excited when he saw the second half of this season's schedule. The 16th-ranked Wolverines kick off a challenging, closing stretch of games at No. 7 Penn State. They host No. 8 Notre Dame next week in the Big House under the lights and close the regular season against rival and fourth-ranked Ohio State at home.

UNDATED (AP) — Tom Allen came to Indiana to build a rock solid defense. Four seasons later, the progression continues. Allen was exuberant Saturday after the Hoosiers pitched their second shutout in five games, scored two touchdowns and held Rutgers to 1 yard passing and only 75 total yards in a milestone performance that could provide the Hoosiers with the confidence and momentum needed to make a postseason push. Now, he wants to see even more.

EAST LANSING, Mich. (AP) — Michigan State wide receiver Weston Bridges is entering the transfer portal. Bridges played in six games last season as a redshirt freshman. He made the transition from running back to wide receiver this year, but he has not played in a game in 2019.

UNDATED (AP) — Purdue's promising future can be found all over the field. Coach Jeff Brohm senses starting quarterback Jack Plummer is growing more comfortable each week. He's watched running back King Doerue and receiver David Bell emerge as consistent playmakers as true freshmen. And cornerback Cory Trice picked off two passes Saturday, returning the first for a game-changing touchdown against Maryland. For the Boilermakers, this is the cast they'll be leaning on to make a third consecutive bowl game.

UNDATED (AP) — Nebraska will play Illinois in Dublin, Ireland, to open the 2021 season. It's the second game in a five-game series of college games on the Emerald Isle. Navy and Notre Dame will meet in Dublin next season. The matchup in Dublin will be Nebraska's first game outside of the United States since the Cornhuskers beat Kansas State in the 1992 Coca-Cola Bowl in Tokyo.
