CHICAGO (AP) — Slugger Jose Abreu has left the Chicago White Sox's game against the Seattle Mariners because of flu-like symptoms.

The 2014 AL Rookie of the Year popped out in the first inning and hit a fly to left in the third on Wednesday. He was replaced at first base by Matt Davidson to start the fourth.

Abreu came into the game batting .293 with six homers and 12 RBIs.
