LOS ANGELES (AP) — The Los Angeles Dodgers have acquired first baseman Andy Wilkins from the Toronto Blue Jays for cash considerations.

The teams announced the move Sunday night.

Wilkins, 26, hit .264 in 21 games this season for Triple-A Buffalo, with four doubles and nine RBIs.

The 6-foot-1, 220-pound left-handed hitter was originally acquired by Toronto on waivers from the Chicago White Sox on March 29. Wilkins was designated for assignment on May 2. He hit .140 with two RBIs and 22 strikeouts in 43 at-bats in 17 games last season with the White Sox.
