Some educators question movement to opt out of standardized tests

As students prepare for the spring round of standardized tests, some parents and educators question how effective those tests are in evaluating progress.

When Dawn Houghton was a teenager, her family lived in low-income housing and she was desperate for books to read. Now through her nonprofit organization, Book Wagon, she puts books in the hands of low-income children that they can read and own.
