FOND DU LAC, Wis. (AP) — The Latest on Wisconsin fire that killed three residents of a group home for mentally disabled (all times local):

6:20 p.m.

Authorities say arson is not suspected in a fire that killed three residents of a Wisconsin group home for intellectually disabled people.

Fond du Lac Fire Chief Peter O'Leary tells The Associated Press he does not believe the fire was intentionally set.

O'Leary said Thursday evening that investigators have finished for the day and will return to the house on Friday. He says autopsies also are scheduled Friday.

Fire officials say the three were found dead on the second floor of the group home. Two other residents escaped the fire.

Officials say the home is for adults who can care for themselves, but have cognitive disabilities.

11:30 a.m.

Officials say three people have died in a fire at a group home for people with disabilities in eastern Wisconsin.

One victim was found not long after firefighters responded to the Fond du Lac home about 6 a.m. Thursday. Two others were found later and all victims were on the second floor of the house.

Fond du Lac Fire Chief Peter O'Leary says they will look for answers as to why the victims were unable to escape, including whether there were working smoke detectors in the home and whether the residents had an escape plan in the event of a fire.

O'Leary says firefighters encountered a large amount fire and smoke when they arrived on scene, making survival improbable. He says the tenants rent rooms at the house.
