SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — Police say a man is in critical condition after being rescued from a burning vehicle.
Unified Police Lt. Ken Malone says the man was driving in Riverton early Monday when his car drifted into the opposite lanes and struck a tree.
Malone says the crash caused the vehicle to burst into flames.
Malone says people in passing cars stopped and helped pull the man out of the burning car.
The victim was taken to a hospital with serious injuries.
Authorities are not sure what caused the vehicle to drift.
