LARAMIE, Wyo. (AP) — Police in Wyoming are investigating the death of a 4-month-old child found inside a car in Laramie.

Albany County Sheriff's Department deputies received a call about 5:50 p.m. Thursday of a child not breathing.

KGWN-TV in Cheyenne reports that officers removed the child from a car seat within a vehicle and the child was taken to Ivinson Memorial Hospital in Laramie. The child was later pronounced dead.

Albany County Undersheriff Josh DeBree says a preliminary investigation determined that the child had been left inside the vehicle from about 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday.

DeBree says there's been no charges or arrests. He declined to release any other details because of the ongoing investigation.
