LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) — The University of Louisville is accepting applications for a new degree program in health care leadership aimed at working adults.

The school says in a statement that the program is geared toward those who want to get their bachelor's degree and have at least 2,000 hours of experience in health care and 24 transferrable college credit hours. The statement says participants can gain college credit for job experience.

Online classes are offered through the College of Education and Human Development and can be completed as schedules allow. The program is accredited at the same level as traditional courses.

Classes will begin in the fall. Program director Lee Bewley said he expects about 20 students in the first year, but anticipates that it will expand.
