RENO, Nev. (AP) — A trial continues today over the semi-truck and train crash that killed six people in 2011. Lawyers for Amtrak and the Union Pacific Railroad say the truck driver is responsible for the collision at a rural crossing about 70 miles east of Reno. The trucking firm's lawyers argue Amtrak and Union Pacific failed to provide a proper signal warning. It's expected to be a six-week trial.

LAS VEGAS (AP) — The 34-year-old son of a Nevada rancher who hosted armed protesters against federal agents in a cattle-roundup dispute in April has been arrested in a separate case. Las Vegas police say Cliven Lance Bundy was arrested without incident Monday and booked on charges of criminal contempt and parole violation. He has a felony conviction on 2012 burglary and weapon charges.

MIAMI (AP) — The number of people in Nevada seeking real estate licenses has grown by almost a quarter. The National Association of Realtors says its membership grew slightly last year after six straight years of declines. Experts warn that real estate is a tough profession and that many new agents quit before they sell a single house.

GRAND CANYON NATIONAL PARK, Ariz. (AP) — Authorities at Grand Canyon National Park say they're still searching for a man reported missing on a hike along the South Rim. Park officials say 36-year-old Marc Buckhout was reported missing by a member of his family on Saturday evening. He's from the Phoenix suburb of Glendale.
