LAS VEGAS (AP) — A dancer in a Las Vegas Strip show who says he was stalked and threatened by his ex-girlfriend is back on the witness stand in his trial on charges that he killed and dismembered the woman in December 2010. Jason Griffith is expected to face tough questions from prosecutors about his claims that Deborah Flores Narvaez (nar-VAYZ') was violent, and that her death was a case of self-defense.

FRANKFURT, Germany (AP) — Deutsche Bank is finally free of The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas resort and casino after selling the high-rise complex on the Strip for $1.73 billion to Blackstone Real Estate Partners. The bank took over the property in 2008 when its developer defaulted on a loan. It opened in 2010 but was later placed in a separate bank division devoted to winding down or selling unwanted investments.

RENO, Nev. (AP) — A Nevada woman trying to overturn her murder conviction after spending more than 30 years in prison will have to remain behind bars for at least three more months. A Washoe County judge granted a request by prosecutors to postpone Cathy Woods' status hearing for 90 days so they have more time to examine new evidence.

CARSON CITY, Nev. (AP) — Initial claims for unemployment insurance in Nevada fell 15 percent in April compared with the same month last year. State economic Bill Anderson says the double-digit decline continues a trend that began in August 2013. Anderson says caution is needed interpreting the data, the ongoing decline suggest Nevada's labor market continues to recover at a slowly accelerating pace.
