WINSTON-SALEM, N.C.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Apr 15, 2014--Hatch ®, the leading early childhood education technology provider announces plans to host a hands-on learning experience with classroom technology for early childhood educators, a collaboration with Microsoft Corp. (NASDAQ: MSFT ), the worldwide leader in software, services and solutions. The four “Hands-on with Head Start Technology Learning Zone” sessions will be held at the National Head Start Association (NHSA) Conference in Long Beach, CA on April 30 – May 1, 2014 from 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. PST.

“Hatch partnered with Microsoft to create this hands-on learning experience to give more educators the opportunity to interact with the most sophisticated technology available for early childhood education,” said Dana FI Love, PhD, Hatch’s Vice President of Sales and Marketing. “More than 500,000 children have experienced Hatch software in the classroom, and our goal is to ensure that every at-risk child is given equal opportunity to benefit from technology that prepares them for success in school.”

Learning Zone sessions will be held at 10:00 a.m., 11:30 a.m., 1:15 p.m. and 2:45 p.m. Educators will get hands-on practice with brand new Hatch hardware and Microsoft Windows®-driven software created for early childhood education. Education technology experts from Hatch and Microsoft will model best practices for using technology with young children, and then support educators as they interact with interactive displays, tablets or multi-touch tables. Hatch-led sessions will focus on using research-based software to personalize learning, track progress, manage behavior issues and strengthen parent-teacher relationships. Microsoft will discuss the importance of using touch technology in education and how Windows-based touch software develops 21 st Century learning in children.
