NEWARK, N.J. (AP) — The Latest on New Jersey Transit service in wake of storm delays (all times local):

5:20 p.m.

New Jersey Transit has resumed service on its Atlantic City Line after it was suspended because a bridge was stuck in the open position.

The agency said Tuesday afternoon that service has resumed between Philadelphia's 30th Street Station and Cherry Hill.

Service was suspended Monday when the Delair Bridge was stuck in the open position.

Earlier Tuesday, Northeast Corridor and North Jersey Coast Line trains were running on or close to schedule after being suspended because of downed electrical lines in Linden caused by Monday's nor'easter.

New Jersey Transit trains are rolling one day after a powerful storm delayed thousands of commuters.

Northeast Corridor and North Jersey Coast Line trains are on or close to schedule Tuesday. Service is suspended on the Atlantic City Rail Line in both directions between Philadelphia and Cherry Hill because the Delair Bridge is stuck in the open position.

Buses and PATH are honoring NJ Transit rail tickets.

Powerful winds downed electrical wires in Linden on Monday afternoon, disrupting service.

Amtrak was forced to suspend service for Northeast Regional and Acela Express trains in New Jersey.

NJ Transit said Amtrak crews restored the signal system in the Linden area.

New Jersey Transit officials warned riders to be prepared for a crowded, crawling Tuesday morning commute due to earlier weather-related damage.

Whipping winds from a power nor'easter downed electrical wires Monday afternoon in Linden, taking several train tracks out of service.

Amtrak was forced to suspend service for Northeast Regional and Acela Express trains in New Jersey, and NJ Transit suspended service on the Northeast Corridor and the New Jersey Coast Line for the same reason.

"Amtrak personnel worked to clear the wires as quickly as possible however power was lost to the signal system forcing trains to proceed at dramatically reduced speed through the area," NJ Transit said in a statement. "This resulted in numerous trains being delayed at both Newark Penn Station and New York Penn Station with significant crowding at stations along that route."

Frustrated travelers took to Twitter Monday night to complain about the long delays and crowded conditions.

NJ Transit said Amtrak crews were working to restore the signal system in the Linden area. But officials warned customers of potential delays if the work is not completed before the morning rush.

The transit agency urged riders to check its website before traveling.
