WEST CHESTER, Pa. (AP) — A massage therapist will spend 6½ to 13 years in prison for molesting women during massage sessions at an eastern Pennsylvania spa that's being sued as a result.

Sixty-four-year-old James Deiter, of Holtwood, was sentenced Thursday in Chester County after pleading guilty to indecent assault and related counts against nine women he treated at Massage Envy between the fall of 2014 and spring 2015.

Deiter was fired by the West Goshen spa after the criminal allegations were made last year, but one victim is suing claiming the business did nothing about prior complaints against Deiter.

Massage Envy says in a statement that the company is "appalled that he violated the Massage Envy code and conduct and zero tolerance policy."

The company isn't commenting further because of the pending litigation.
