BOISE, Idaho (AP) — Federal officials offered to remove twice the amount of high-level nuclear waste they proposed to send for research to an eastern Idaho nuclear facility in a deal with state officials that collapsed amid mounting concerns a nearly $600 million waste treatment facility might never operate. CALDWELL, Idaho (AP) — Idaho State Police say they will investigate an anonymous complaint related to a private nonprofit run by the Canyon County sheriff. The Idaho Press-Tribune reports that police say a preliminary investigation by the state attorney general's office found enough evidence to warrant a deeper look into the complaint about Sheriff Kieran Donahue. Donahue is accused of misusing his position as sheriff to operate his nonprofit K. Donahue Foundation Inc.

BOISE, Idaho (AP) — Police say they have arrested two Idaho men who have been driving their motorcycles at speeds of more than 100 mph. KTVB-TV reports that Idaho State Police say the Treasure Valley men reached speeds of up to 160 mph on Interstate 84 and nearby roads.
