LAS VEGAS (AP) — Passenger traffic at McCarran International Airport increased a modest 1.8 percent last month, compared with the same month in 2014.

Monthly numbers released Friday showed about 67,000 more passengers arrived and departed the Las Vegas airport in March 2015.

International traffic increased 5.6 percent year-to-year, and domestic traffic topped 3.5 million for the month.

American and Southwest led the airlines in percentage increases, followed by a 0.5 percent increase for United.

Delta and Allegiant reported fewer passengers in March 2015 than March 2014.

Nearly 43 million travelers passed through McCarran last year, the fourth consecutive year of growth and the most since 44 million in 2008.

McCarran is ranked 23rd in passenger traffic worldwide by the Airports Council International, and ninth in the U.S.
