MIDVALE — Police are looking for two suspects they say were involved in a car shooting outside of the Unified Police Midvale Precinct station Sunday night.
Unified police detective Kevin Mallory said one car fired several shots at another on 700 West and 7800 South.
"We got into a short pursuit with one of the vehicles south on 700 West then west on 9000 South then we lost the vehicle," said Mallory.
The only information police have on the vehicles at this time is one was a dark SUV and the other was a light pickup truck.
There are no injuries at this time; however, there was some broken glass found on the road, according to Mallory.
Mallory said local hospitals have been notified to alert police of patients coming in with gunshot wounds and other agencies have been alerted with a description of the vehicles.
Mallory also said in cases like this there is generally no risk to the public.
