SALT LAKE CITY — President Russell M. Nelson of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints released a video Sunday morning that shows him playing piano while 7-year-old social media star Claire Crosby sings “Silent Night.”

In the video, President Nelson accompanies Claire through two verses of the classic Christmas song while family members and President Nelson's wife, Sister Wendy Nelson, look on.

“Sister Nelson and I were thrilled to meet the Dave and Ashley Crosby family during this Christmas season and share an evening together,” President Nelson wrote on Instagram. “Imagine my good fortune at having the chance to accompany their daughter Claire as she sang one of our favorites, ‘Silent Night.’”

After Claire sings, the video shows Claire and President Nelson talking for a moment.

“What is your favorite color?” she asks.

“You know, I love them all,” President Nelson responds.

According to a church news release about the video, Claire Crosby has more than 6 million followers on YouTube, Instagram and Facebook. “Her family are members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints,” it says.

The Crosby family’s YouTube videos regularly garner anywhere from hundreds of thousands to millions of views.
