MAGNA — A lockdown at Matheson Jr. High School in Magna has been lifted after a 'suspicious male' on the school campus turned out to be an employee, police said Tuesday.

As of 8:45 a.m., everything was fine at the school, Unified police said in a tweet.

No threats were made to the school, and the lockdown was precautionary to make sure students are safe, Granite School District officials said on Twitter.

The lockdown protocol at the school, located at 3650 Montclair St. in Magna, was in place as of 8 a.m. and was lifted about 8:40 a.m., officials said.

No other information about the situation was immediately available Tuesday morning.
