WEST VALLEY CITY — One person was struck in a crosswalk Saturday night about 11 p.m. in West Valley City.

The victim was attempting to cross from the northeast corner of the 2700 West and 4700 South intersection when a southbound SUV struck the person.

The victim was taken to the hospital and placed in intensive care.
