WEST VALLEY CITY — Police are still looking for people in connection with a shooting that took place early Wednesday morning in West Valley City.

No one was injured in the shooting, which took place about 12:10 a.m. near 3586 S. 6830 West, according to West Valley City Police Lt. Bill Merritt.

Surveillance video obtained by officers revealed that several adults walked up to the home, shot at least 11 rounds and then left on foot, according to Merritt. Several of the shots went into the living room window, as well as into the driveway, he added.

There were six people in the home at the time, including two elderly people who were inside the living room watching TV, Merritt said.

It is not known what led up to the shooting, but victims claimed they have had an ongoing feud with some other people for several years, Merritt said.

Police have not yet been able to locate any of the suspected shooters, Merritt said. A K9 unit led officers on a trail three houses down, but then the trail went cold, he added.

No other information about the shooting was immediately available Wednesday morning.
