SALT LAKE CITY — Here are 10 stories you may have missed over the weekend. As always, click on the headline to read the full story.

1. Crews suspend search for missing man in East Canyon Reservoir; Will continue in the morning

Search and rescue teams are continuing their search for a 25-year-old man who may have drowned in the East Canyon Reservoir. Officials said his family reported that he jumped off the boat without a life vest. He struggled to get back on the boat and then went under.

2. Several spectators injured during opening ceremonies of Utah Summer Games

Several spectators were injured during the opening ceremonies of the Larry H. Miller Utah Summer Games Friday night. Around 10:30 p.m., a firework landed near spectators just outside of Southern Utah University's Eccles Colosseum, according to Nikki Koontz, executive director of communication for the university. Four people were injured, Koontz reported. Patients were treated by some medical staff on scene, and three of them were taken to Cedar City Hospital in a private vehicle.

3. Snowpack, warm temps pose potential flooding problems

The combination of a near-record snowpack over the winter and stormy, warm weather this spring could lead to severe flooding in Utah. The right weather conditions, however, could also keep creeks from becoming unmanageable.

4. 'Pay it forward' brings together rival high schools in memory of Bear River coach

Vanica Crane, a Box Elder Middle School teacher, returned from a trip Friday to discover the Box Elder High School principal's husband had suddenly died the day before. That same day, she went to her mailbox to find a mysterious letter addressed to her containing $100 and challenged her to "pay it forward."

5. [Firefighter battling cancer overwhelmed with support during pancake breakfast]()

A line of people stretched out the door and around the new Pleasant Grove Fire Station 71 on Saturday morning for the department's annual pancake breakfast, but the crowd came for more than just a meal. Haas recently found out he has cancer. Merrill Haas was diagnosed just a few months after retiring from the Pleasant Grove Fire Department after a more than 20 year career.

1. Utah Royals move 1 point off lead with 1-0 win over winless Sky Blue

Rodriguez’s 16th-minute goal and the defensive shutout that accompanied it led Utah to their fifth win of the season, 1-0 over league-worst Sky Blue Face in front of an announced crowd of 5,777 fans Saturday night at Rio Tinto Stadium.

2. Press, Sauerbrunn start, but Lloyd dominates in US 3-0 win over Chile

Carli Lloyd scored twice, and Julie Ertz added a goal for the United States, which clinched a spot in the Round of 16 with its second win of the group stage.

3. A look at five players from the Jazz's Saturday predraft workouts

Utah brought in 12 prospects — with two more having to cancel due to injury — as it begins to finish up draft preparation.

4. Fatherhood and baseball: Bees players and coaches balance being dads with a life in baseball

5. Woodland denies history with US Open title at Pebble Beach

In front of Gary Woodland was a 263-yard shot to the scariest green on any par 5 at Pebble Beach, especially with a U.S. Open on the line. Behind him by one shot on the leaderboard was Brooks Koepka, the most dangerous figure in major championship golf these days.
