MANTI, Utah — A woman in Sanpete County is doing her part in keeping the memory of Maj. Brent Taylor alive.
Kaziah Hancock is an artist who paints portraits of fallen soldiers and first responders. Her portrait of Taylor will be her 2,008th.
“I love all those that bravely fight so that I can have the blessings I have,” she said. “… They don’t know how we got to be the greatest nation in the world, and it’s from the blood of good guys.”
KSL TV has followed her for many years as she creates these portraits. She relies on donations to cover the hundreds of dollars in materials.
Hancock said it’s her way of helping families cope and thanking them for the service of their loved one.
Maj. Brent Taylor was laid to rest in North Ogden on Saturday.
