MAGNA — At least 10 homes were evacuated Thursday morning after a car crashed into a house in Magna, causing a gas leak.
The car plowed through a fence and into the gas meter on the side of a house near 8380 West and 2910 South at about 4 a.m. The 63-year-old driver, who police say has a history of mental health issues, believed someone was chasing her when she lost control of her car and crashed, according to Unified Police Lt. Brian Lohrke.
The woman received only minor injuries, police said, and was taken for a mental health evaluation after the crash. No one inside the home was injured.
