1 injured after shots fired in South Salt Lake neighborhood

SOUTH SALT LAKE — A man is in critical condition after shots were fired outside a residence.

Officers were called to 3798 S. 200 East at about 8 p.m. on Thursday, according to Sgt. Darin Sweeten from the South Salt Lake Police Department.

Sweeten said a truck pulled up to the residence, the occupants got an in argument with the homeowners, shots were fired and a man who arrived in the truck was shot.

Three or four people were detained following the shooting, Sweeten said.

The streets in the surrounding neighborhood have be closed off, according to police.

Sweeten said the incident doesn't appear to be gang-related.
