KEARNS — A man in Kearns was stabbed early Thursday morning and didn't realize it, police said.
It wasn't until his wife called 911 saying she stabbed him that he noticed the injury, police said.
Early Thursday morning, Laura Barker, 61, got into an argument with her husband at their home near 4351 W. 5135 South in Kearns, a police report stated. That's when she allegedly stabbed her husband without him knowing, police said.
The arresting office said Barker said she "poked" her husband because there were "nuclear bombs out there and he was helping put it there." She also allegedly told an officer she had psychiatric problems.
Police say alcohol was likely a factor in the situation. The man was taken to the hospital in serious condition.
Barker was booked into the Salt Lake County jail for aggravated assault and domestic violence.
