TAYLORSVILLE — Police arrested three men Saturday night suspected of being involved in a fight at a skate park during which one man was stabbed.

Abishek Kumar, 20, Jordan Morrell, 20, and Christian Ancheta, 20, came to the Taylorsville North End skate park, 4721 S. Redwood Road, and initiated a fight, according to Unified Police Lt. Justin Hoyal.

One man, 22, was not originally involved in the fight but ran over to see what was happening. One of the three men stabbed him in the stomach, Hoyal said. One punched another man with brass knuckles and swiped at another with a knife. Those injured were treated for their injuries at the scene.

Police responded at 7:30 p.m. and found several people fleeing the scene, including Morrell.

"Officers gave chase to that suspect and ultimately caught him a short distance away," Hoyal said.

Morrell was booked into the Salt Lake County Jail for investigation of aggravated assault and failure to stop at the command of a police officer. Kumar was booked for investigation of aggravated assault and Ancheta was arrested for investigation of disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.

Police believe the fight was gang-related.
