HILL AIR FORCE BASE — Roaring through the skies at speeds of 600 miles per hour and hitting maneuvers that hit nine times the force of gravity, the Air Force Thunderbirds can be a feat to watch from the ground.

During each air show visit, the Thunderbirds give one member of the media a chance to see some of the precision stunts through the back seat of the cockpit. Thunderbirds pilot Major Michael Fisher hopes it also gives viewers at home a bird's-eye view into the hard work airmen put into keeping the country safe.

"They may not see the things behind the scenes," Fisher said. "We have 700,000 total Air Force airmen that are doing amazing things every single day."

KSL's Mike Anderson rode back seat with Major Fisher today. Click the video link to see how he did.

The Warriors Over Wasatch air show runs this Saturday and Sunday, June 28-29, at Hill Air Force Base starting at 10 a.m. each day.
