KEARNS — Police arrested a suspected drunk driver after he crashed into a building in Kearns early Friday morning.

Police said a 36-year-old man left a party at a business around 3:45 a.m. and he started driving his car through the parking lot.

His foot got stuck on the accelerator and he lost control, ramming into a Tacomex restaurant at 4090 W. 5415 South, police said.

The driver was arrested for suspicion of DUI and taken into custody.

Police remind drivers that drinking and driving don't mix, and that even something as simple as driving through a parking lot can have consequences.
