SALT LAKE CITY — An 85-year-old man who told police he wanted to "knock his (neighbor's) head off" was charged Thursday with aggravated assault.
On May 12, the elderly man hit his neighbor in the head with a shovel, according to charges filed in 3rd District Court. He then took another swing but missed, according to court records.
The man was charged with aggravated assault, a third-degree felony. An initial court appearance was scheduled for Tuesday. If convicted, the man faces up to five years in prison.
