Wednesday around 10 a.m., Animal Welfare Services in Washington received a call about a cat near Nisson Park (30 S. 200 West) that had been shot with an arrow, according to police.
Two officers responded, catching the cat and taking it to a veterinarian. The veterinarian was able to remove the arrow and the cat is recovering, Ed Kantor with Washington City police said.
The cat appeared to be feral, Kantor said.
Currently, no suspects have been identified. Anyone with information is asked to call the clinic at 435-627-1300.
