WEBER CANYON — The driver of a semitrailer lost control of his vehicle which then rolled, caught fire and closed I-84 in both directions through Weber Canyon Thursday morning.
The Utah Department of Public Safety said the driver of the westbound double-trailer was trying to pass another semitrailer around a curve at mile marker 108 near Taggart.
The vehicle's rear trailer rolled and spilled fuel in the eastbound and westbound lanes. Fire broke out and the truck and both trailers burned, as well as the spilled fuel.
The driver of the semitrailer that rolled was taken to a hospital with minor injuries.
