OGDEN — An Ogden family was displaced after the basement in their home caught fire Thursday afternoon.
Fire crews from the Ogden City Fire Department and Roy Fire Department responded to the house fire at 2786 Lincoln Avenue around 4:30 p.m. Crews found heavy smoke coming the basement of the two-story house.
The 19 firefighters were able to contain the fire to the basement of the home, but the fire caused an estimated $5,000 in damage to the house.
The family wasn't home at the time of the fire, and no injuries were associated with the incident. The family was displaced as a result of the fire.
The cause of the fire is unknown and is under investigation.
