LOGAN, Utah (AP) - Cache County deputies may be looking a bit scruffier this month, but it's for a good cause.
Deputies will be allowed to buy a $30 beard permit during the month of October that allows them to skirt the sheriff's clean-cut grooming standards.
Officers are usually limited to a mustache.
Proceeds from the beard permits will benefit the Logan-based anti-domestic violence group CAPSA, or Community Abuse Prevention Services Agency.
The fundraiser is sponsored by the Cache County Deputies' Association.
