THE AFTERLIFE — The first day of fall is past and calendars will flip to October soon; it’s time to break out the pumpkin spice and decide whose Halloween party you’ll attend.

For parents of young kids, it’s also the time to start planning Halloween costumes, picking out pumpkins and taking part of the seasonal activities Utah hosts.

Cornbelly’s Corn Maze

Each year, Cornbelly’s grows a 12-acre corn maze into a different design. This year, the farm nodded to the intense BYU and U. of U. football rivalry in the state.

For small children, an easy 5-minute maze makes sure no little ones get lost and your family will get out before the tantrums begin. On the Grain Train, kids can encounter a scarecrow and jack-o'-lantern vignette in the maze.

Open Oct. 4 through Oct. 30 at various times. Check Cornbelly’s online calendar for details.
