WEST JORDAN — A construction worker ruptured a 1-inch gas line in West Jordan Friday morning near the intersection of 7800 South and 4410 West.

The rupture happened in the middle of the intersection, near a Jiffy Lube.

The West Jordan Fire Department evacuated homes and businesses in the area and cleared the scene. Airport Road is closed from New Bingham Highway to 7800 South. Questar is currently working to fix the leak.
