LOGAN — A Salt Lake City woman was seriously injured in a three-car accident Saturday morning near Logan.
Around 9:42 a.m. a 2001 White Toyota Corolla stopped on U.S. Highway 89 to turn left into the Beaver Creek Lodge in Logan Canyon. A 2009 White Dodge Ram 3500 Pickup truck pulling a horse trailer with sheep struck the rear of the Corolla, causing it to spin around and strike an oncoming 2004 Chevrolet TrailBlazer in the driver's side.
The driver of the Corolla, a 40-year-old man, was transported to the Logan Regional Hospital where he was treated and released. A 36-year-old female passenger in the Corolla was seriously injured and was transported by Air Med to Ogden Regional Hospital.
No one in the TrailBlazer of Dodge Ram were injured in the accident.
The highway was closed for an hour and a half as emergency personnel worked to clear the scene.
