LEBANON, Ore. (AP) - Oregon authorities say two men are in custody in Utah in connection with the shooting death of a Lebanon, Ore., man whose parents found his body at his remote Oregon campsite.

Linn County Undersheriff Bruce Riley said Friday that Utah Highway Patrol officers found evidence linked to the slaying of 48-year-old Wayne Klavano when they arrested Travis Powers of Windsor, Colo., and Daniel Armbrecht of Pagosa Springs, Colo., on Tuesday.

Riley did not say what that evidence was.

The two were arrested initially for investigation of drug offenses. Riley says the Linn County Circuit Court has issued murder arrest warrants for both. They're being held in Brigham City, Utah.

The undersheriff says Powers has ties to Linn County.

Concerned that he missed an appointment, Klavano's parents went to his campsite north of Oregon Highway 20 and found his body on Tuesday.
