OGDEN — Two women and a 12-year-old girl were hospitalized in serious but stable condition Saturday night after being struck by a vehicle on Washington Boulevard.

The accident occurred at 10:25 p.m., said Ogden Police Lt. Will Cragun. The women, ages 83 and 72, and the girl were leaving Peery's Egyptian Theater and were crossing Washington Boulevard near 24th Street when they were struck by an pickup truck traveling south.

Police made contact with the driver, a 22-year-old man. As of Sunday morning he had not been cited for the accident or taken into custody.

"It's going to be dependent on what the investigation reveals," Cragun said.

The two women suffered pelvic fractures and underwent surgery on Sunday, said Ogden Police Lt. Shawn Hamblin. The 12-year-old was transported to Primary Children's Medical Center and appeared to have suffered a skull fracture, he said.

The investigation was ongoing but it did not appear that alcohol contributed to the accident, according to Hamblin.
