PARIS (AP) — Persistent rain has forced the cancellation of all matches at the French Open for the first time in 16 years.
Organizers say matches will be rescheduled for Tuesday, but more rain is expected then with a hoped-for break in the clouds Wednesday.
The last total wash-out in Paris was May 30, 2000, according to organizers.
Among those matches postponed were with top seeds Novak Djokovic (NOH'-vak JOH'-kuh-vich) and Serena Williams.
