KRASNAYA POLYANA, Russia (AP) - Fog has pushed back the elimination rounds in men's snowboardcross.

Heavy fog on Monday morning forced officials to scrub the seeding runs, and the expected 1:30 p.m. start of the elimination rounds came and went with visibility at Rosa Khutor Extreme Park still low.

Whenever the skies clear, the 39 riders will be bracketed based on the world rankings.

There will be seven heats of five riders each and one heat of four. The top three in each will advance to the quarterfinal rounds. Nate Holland and Trevor Jacob of U.S. will ride in the same opening heat.

The fog was the first weather issue in Krasnaya Polyana, with most days featuring bright sunshine and mild temperatures.
