LIVERPOOL, England (AP) — Liverpool says manager Juergen Klopp will miss Saturday's English Premier League match at home to Sunderland with a suspected bout of appendicitis.

First-team duties will be overseen by the two first-team coaches, Zeljko Buvac and Peter Krawietz, who were together with Klopp during the German's time at Borussia Dortmund.

Liverpool will look for a return to winning ways after a 2-0 defeat against league leader Leicester on Tuesday, while victory for Sunderland could see it close to within a point of Norwich, which is immediately outside the relegation zone.

Some Liverpool supporters are planning a walkout in the 77th minute to protest ticket prices
