SAN JOSE, Calif. (AP) — Shea Salinas scored on a header in the first half and the San Jose Earthquakes beat the 10-man Los Angeles Galaxy 1-0 in the California Clasico on Friday night for their fourth straight victory.

David Bingham recorded his fourth clean sheet in a row.

Salinas got his third goal of the season in the 18th minute for San Jose (11-10-5). Quincy Amarikwa headed a cross that was blocked by goalkeeper Donovan Ricketts, but Salinas pounced on the rebound for an easy finish.

Los Angeles (13-8-7) had its four-game winning streak snapped.

Leonardo was given a red card in the 47th minute after taking down Amarikwa on a goal-scoring opportunity. Anibal Godoy's ensuing free kick from just outside the box sailed over the crossbar.

San Jose's Chris Wondolowski had a header hit off the post in the 38th. He collided with A.J. DeLaGarza on the play and left the game briefly.
