EL SEGUNDO, Calif. (AP) — The Los Angeles Lakers have signed forward Travis Wear for the rest of the season.

The Lakers announced the deal Friday.

Wear has been a solid role player for the Lakers since they signed him to the first of two 10-day contracts earlier this month. He is averaging 4.8 points and 2.2 rebounds in 10 games for Los Angeles.

The 27-year-old Wear is a Los Angeles-area native who played at UCLA and spent his first NBA season with the New York Knicks. He spent the past two seasons with the South Bay Lakers of the G League.
