FLORHAM PARK, N.J. (AP) — The New York Jets have fired director of pro personnel Brendan Prophett and five members of the scouting department.
Prophett was starting his 16th season with the team, and ninth as the Jets' director of pro personnel. New general manager Mike Maccagnan also parted ways with college scouts Rick Courtright, David Hinson, Cole Hufnagel, Chris Prescott and Seth Turner on Monday.
The moves come two days after the NFL draft was completed and are the latest shake-up to the front office since Maccagnan was hired. Maccagnan fired senior director of college scouting Terry Bradway and director of college scouting Jeff Bauer in January.
Hufnagel joined the Jets in 2006. Hinson and Prescott were hired in 2013, and Turner was added last year.
