WASHINGTON (AP) - President Barack Obama has ordered a review of government contractor and employee security after the mass shooting at the Washington Navy Yard.
Obama spokesman Jay Carney said Tuesday that Obama has ordered his Office of Management and Budget to examine security standards for contractors and employees across federal agencies.
Law enforcement officials say Navy contractor Aaron Alexis had a "secret" level security clearance and was able to enter the Navy Yard, where he killed 12 people and wounded several others Monday.
Other security reviews were also being ordered at the Pentagon.
